The Book of Boba Fett should have been a home run. It builds on the solid foundations laid lanugo by The Mandalorian, is well-nigh one of the most popular notation in Star Wars history, showcases spanking-new two-face Temuera Morrison, and was helmed by experienced and stylish whoopee director Robert Rodriguez.
And yet it didn’t hit the mark. Fans took issue with Fett stuff an incompetent treason boss, that the show felt like it’d been quickly thrown together to fill the gap between seasons of The Mandalorian, and noted its limited scope. It’s telling that by far the weightier episode didn’t full-length the titular weft at all, ditching him for Din Djarin.
