Our First-Ever Roblox Week

In July, the Roblox team gathered at our San Mateo HQ for a week of activities that fostered employee connections, created community, and prestigious the technical innovations we’re towers to momentum the future of our platform and business. 

Coming Together and Towers Connection

Roblox Week embodies our future of work approach, bringing the visitor together at key moments to support organic connection, collaboration, and innovation. For many people, this was an opportunity to meet new team members for the first time in person, or get re-connected with colleagues that they had not seen for awhile. 

“The first-ever Roblox Week brought together nearly 1,500 Robloxians from virtually the world to connect and interreact in person,” said Barbara Messing, Chief People Experience and Marketing Officer. “The positive energy throughout the week was tangible, and our teams left feeling inspired, aligned, and ready to protract innovating.” 

Where We’re Headed

During Roblox Week, groups came together for on-sites and team building. We moreover had a special Town Hall at the Fox Theater in Redwood City, CA where our executive team talked well-nigh our heady innovations and the would-be technical roadmap that will help us unhook on our vision to reimagine how people come together.

 To cap off the events, Robloxians gathered for a summer picnic to recharge and gloat with colleagues. Employees enjoyed a Friday afternoon filled with food, drinks, and fun surpassing latter out the week.

“We can go out there and envision something completely novel, something that’s never been washed-up before, and then go make it happen and make it happen in a way that’s completely consumable by our community,” Roblox CTO Dan Sturman shared. “We need to protract to respect the polity and particularly wield that internally. We have the worthiness to come together and do worthier things.”
